Does Device42 license include maintenance and support?
One year subscription license includes Software maintenance and upgrades. Email and online support for one year are also included with the response time of 48 hours or less during weekdays, excluding holidays. Sample external programs/scripts to interact with APIs are provided "AS-IS" without support or warranty of any kind, expressed or implied.
Do I have to renew the license for Device42 in order to keep using the software?
Yes. Export will keep working even after the license expiry and we will offer support if you need help exporting your data.
What is the upgrade option?
Since the license is annual subscription, you can upgrade anytime for the prorated difference. One example, If you bought 500 device license(for USD $2999) and if you upgrade after 4 months to 1000 device license(USD $4999), your upgrade cost would be $4999 - (2999/12 * 8) = $2999, and the new license would be valid for one year from the date of upgrade.
Why is your product price so low compared to your competitors, what is the catch?
There is no catch. We don't collect any data from the appliance. There are no ads in the software. We are funded privately and have no debt or financial obligations. We don't employ sales people. We don't have commissions to pay and we pass those savings on to you.
