We are excited to announce the general availability of Device42 v15.12.09 with the following changes:
Microsoft LAPS credentials lookup for Windows discovery
We have added support for password lookup utilizing Microsoft LAPS (Local Administrator Password Solution) on Windows discovery jobs. If you track your passwords for your Microsoft Windows-based instances using LAPS, Device42’s discovery can now look up these passwords prior to contacting the device, during the discovery job. Every time you can take advantage of LAPS credential lookup, that’s one less password for you to juggle, and one less place you need to update that password!
To configure LAPS, simply create a Windows Auto Discovery job and select Query domain controller to obtain a list of discovery devices and then Select Use LAPS (only Applies to WDS):
VM Manager added to the devices DOQL view
We have added the vm_manager_device_fk to the view view_device_v1 , making it easy to quickly look up the manager (vCenter server or equivalent) of your virtual host or guest as necessary in your DOQL queries.
Try it today!
