Release Overview: New Discovery Support and Cores/CPU Update
The Remote Collector (RC) v19.01.11 release introduces several new supported discoveries and includes a bug fix related to Cores/CPU calculations. The most recent Main Appliance (MA) version was v19.01, released on June 27, 2024.
- APC AP4423A Devices:
- In previous releases, APC AP4423A devices were not discoverable using SNMP. However, the APC AA4423A, a rack-mounted automatic transfer switch, can now be discovered via SNMP. This discovery includes information on power rating and draw.
- Improved HPE Storever Tape Library Discovery:
- Previous releases allowed for simple discovery of HPE Storever, but informational attributes were not fully retrieved or displayed. With the v19.01.11 release, the OS version, Vendor, Model, and Serial Number will now be populated and displayed.
- Enhanced PDU Discovery:
- PDU discovery now populates the Sensor vendor and value within the Environmental Data section for the PDU device. This enhancement enables more comprehensive monitoring of PDU environmental data.
- Hikvision Cameras via SNMP:
- Hikvision cameras can now be discovered using SNMP. The discovery process will populate information Hardware, OS, OS Version, memory, and IP Address.
Bug Fixes in v19.01.11:
- NIX/Windows total core calculation: Previously, the properties section incorrectly displayed the value of Total Cores in the Cores/CPU. For example, a 4-CPU device with 1 Core would show 4 (4 * 1) for the Cores/CPU instead of the correct value of 1.
