Enhanced NetApp and Blue Coat Discovery Support in RC v19.02.01

Release Overview:

The Remote Collector (RC) v19.02.01 release introduces several new supported SNMP discovery enhancements for NetAPP devices as well as SNMP discovery for Blue Coat devices such as PacketShaper appliance. The most recent Main Appliance (MA) version was v19.02, released on July 31, 2024.

NewApp discovery enhancements:
- Parts for NetApp devices previously discovered were not correctly associated with the correct node.
- Previous SNMP discoveries for NetApp StoragGRID were listed as Cluster Devices rather than a physical device.
Bluecoat devices are now supported for SNMP discovery:
- Bluecoat devices can now be discovered using SNMP discovery
Fix for SNMP discovery support for Huawei FutureMatrix D5735:
- Previous versions of the Remote Collector failed SNMP discovery for this supported model of the Huawei switch.
HBA Card Firmware details are now retrieved through discovery.

Bug Fixes in v19.02.01:

SNMP discovery can now be initiated on a /32 CIDR target range. This will result in a single IP address discovery.
VLANs previously would not populate upon SNMP discovery. Now VLANs will now have entries generated upon successful discovery.
