Release Overview

The Remote Collector (RC) v17.10.02 release provides improvements and additions to SNMP autodiscovery. The most recent Main Appliance (MA) version was v17.10.02, released March 25, 2022.

Enhanced SNMP Autodiscovery Support

The Device42 v17.10.02 RC includes enhanced SNMP autodiscovery support for the following device types:

  • Enlogic PDU – improved autodiscovery for these devices now returns OS system data.
  • Acme Packet – improved autodiscovery for these devices now returns OS and OS version data and CPU model.
  • Ecotower – improved autodiscovery for these devices now returns the device serial number or name, the infeed name and voltage, and output name and voltage.

SNMP Autodiscovery Support Additions

The Device42 v17.10.02 RC includes additional SNMP autodiscovery support for the following device types and firmware:

  • Uplogic 5000 Console – new autodiscovery for these devices now returns the device name, HWM (containing vendor information), serial number and OS version.
  • NEC SV9100 – new autodiscovery for these devices now returns the device name, vendor, and model.
  • Lenovo ThinkSystem NE10032 RackSwitch
  • Lenovo IMM
  • Lenovo SN550
  • Dell iDRAC (firmware)

Security Fixes Note

Remote Collector v17.10.02 contains several fixes to improve data and access security for both your Device42 and infrastructure environments.

Bug Fixes

  • Resolved an issue in which the discovery of Konica Minolta printers was not functioning correctly.
  • Resolved an issue in which the discovery of Avaya devices was not functioning correctly.
  • Resolved an issue in which updating an RC/WDS using Egress proxy was not functioning correctly.
