Performance enhancements in .net discovery tool v13.4.0

We are happy to announce v13.4.0 for the agentless .net discovery tool. There are not many visible changes in the user interface; however, the backend has been optimized to run much faster and handle larger discoveries better. Some users have reported 8x improvement with their discoveries in the pre-release tests.

Bug Fixes

  • If the password was greater than 80 characters, discovery was failing. Fixed.
  • We now ignore 0.0.0.0 and :: IPs during discovery. Earlier these were ignored on D42 side, but sent from the discovery tool.
  • Grab correct OS names for linux systems. Instead of relying on system level commands, which might give wrong output, we try to parse /etc/lsb-release type files first now.
