Release Overview
The Remote Collector (RC) v18.01.01 release provides new and improved SNMP discovery for multiple devices and includes several bug fixes. The most recent Main Appliance (MA) version was v18.01.00, released July 7, 2022.

New Device Discovery Support
The Device42 v18.01.01 RC includes new SNMP discovery support for the following devices:
- S3900-24T4S-R Switch – new discovery for these devices now returns hardware model and OS version data.
- APT Codec – new discovery for these devices now returns model, MAC address, serial number, OS, and ports data.
- FSOS-S5800 – new discovery for these devices now returns model, serial number, OS, and memory data.
Enhanced SNMP Device Discovery
The Device42 v18.01.01 RC includes enhanced SNMP discovery support for the following devices:
- HP J8697A – enhanced discovery for these blade chassis now returns individual blade model, serial number, OS, and firmware data in addition to model, serial number, and OS data for the chassis.
- Aruba 6300M – improved discovery for these switch devices now returns stack count, serial numbers, and firmware version.
Bug Fixes
- Resolved an issue in which discovery of Huawei AR1220E devices was generating error messages even though the discovery was successful.
- Resolved an issue in which discovery sometimes did not detect configured VLANs on Cisco ISR.
- Resolved an issue in which discovery sometimes did not correctly detect clusters or connectivity on Sophos SG650 UTM Firewalls.
- Resolved an issue in which discovery of Cisco Nexus and Catalyst devices was sometimes not returning port-channel endpoint connectivity data.
- Resolved an issue in which discovery of Eaton ATS devices was sometimes failing.
- Resolved an issue in which AWS discovery was sometimes failing to return data for some resource types (e.g., DynamoDB, load balancers, etc.).
